Happy Tuesday dear readers! I hope you all had a great weekend and a good 4th of July. I had a great weekend with family and friends and couldn't have asked for better weather. We saw fireworks over the lake and ate lots and lots of good food! I am very proud of the state that I live in because of all of the outdoor activities that you can do in the summer. I would prefer the ocean but we do have a ton of lakes that we take advantage of during the summer. Since I love my state so much I have really been digging the state silhouette projects that I have seen on Pinterest lately. I even created one last fall on a pumpkin. I have been trying to find something else that I could put a silhouette on and saw my plain flower pot needed some sprucing up!

Neverland Birthday Party
Hello to all of you! We have certainly had a busy month around my house. My little girl had a birthday this month. It's crazy how fast time flies when you have a child. Every year since her first birthday I have tried to make all of the birthday decorations and invitations myself. It is so much work but so much fun as well. This year was the first year my daughter has been old enough to know what she wanted to do for her birthday. It all started with the idea of her wanting to have a pirate ship just like captain Hook's on her birthday cake. My daughter is a fan of Jake and the Neverland Pirates and anything Peter Pan. So, I thought it would be kind of fun to do a Neverland themed birthday party for her.

Spring Mantel
Hello there friends! I hope you are doing well and are enjoying some beautiful spring weather where you live. Today was a great day for my daughter and I, we were able to go on a walk and play outside. We even went on a hunt for the Easter bunny. Actually, we have a sweet little bunny who made a nest under one of our pine trees. Every now and then we can see the bunny hiding out under the tree and my daughter is loving it. She is convinced that it is the Easter bunny! Anyway, speaking of the Easter bunny I think my mantel is already for the Easter bunny's visit.

St. Patrick's Day Banner
Wow, has it really been almost a month since my last post? This has been such a long winter my friends and I am so ready for spring. I really wanted to get my spring decorations out but it just felt wrong with the 5 ft. piles of snow sitting on the edge of my driveway. Seriously, winter I am so over you! I am sick of being stuck inside and I am ready to just spray paint something. My spray painting days are still a few months away so in the meantime I must stay inside and keep myself busy. I thought it would be fun to add a few decorations for St. Patrick's Day this year. I made this St. Patrick's Day banner is less than 30 minutes one afternoon for my fireplace mantel.

Valentine's Day Mantel
Well, the snow is not letting up here in the Midwest. I must admit I do have cabin fever. It really is enough to drive you bonkers. I have to keep myself busy by doing crafts and projects around the house. I really enjoy decorating for each holiday and enjoy it more now that I have my daughter. My fireplace mantel is always one of the main things that gets decorated each holiday.

Polka Dot Valentine's Day Wreath
Hello friends! Sorry, for my lack of blogging. We have had frigid temperatures here and tons of snow. I am soooo over winter. However, I am so excited that Valentine's Day is almost here. I have been working on some crafts and have been decorating the house. One thing that I always have to have for every holiday is a wreath for my front door.
